The A38, a major road in the area, is set to undergo essential repairs, causing potential chaos for drivers.

Councillor Matt Benfield explains that under national regulations, this leak qualifies as an immediate emergency, with a water loss of over four litres per second.
"The scale of this leak is a real concern," Benfield said. "Urgent action is needed to prevent a worse scenario."
So, what does this mean for drivers? The A38 will be closed at the off-slip onto Castle Way, and one lane of the southbound A38 will also be closed, causing potential delays and frustration.
Works are expected to start on February 17th and last for around four to five days, with a slight possibility of an earlier completion. A signed diversion route will be in place, but as Councillor Benfield points out, previous A38 works caused significant disruption, so drivers should be prepared for potential delays and detours.
